City and Islington College Fashion Show

Thursday 23rd June was the City and Islington College Fashion show, we were so excited to have the opportunity to go and see what young aspiring fashion designers had to offer. As judges (looking to offer two students an opportunity of a paid internship at our offices), we had to concentrate incredibly hard on quality, style and fabric choices. This proved to be a difficult task due to the standard being consistently high. 

With excellent music choices, confident models and creative dance moves, the evening was highly enjoyable. 

The choice was difficult but one we had to make and the two designers we chose showed excellent attention to detail, great potential in tailoring and would be well suited to the 'Thrifty Couture' style and brand. Although 'Thrifty Couture' is still in its early stages it will hopefully offer these students a chance to grow further as designers, offer them the chance to develop and sell their own line and hopefully teach them more about ethical, recycled fashion.
